After the other night's game against the Mets, when Bohm was seen saying, " I f-ing hate this place", the national press couldn't wait to jump on the Philly fans about how they would react to Bohm's comment. Right away that went back to their same old script...Eagles fans throw snowballs at Santa. When in doubt bring out the old cliches.
The national press and media love to jump on the "Philly fans are the worst"t bandwagon whenever they get the opportunity. It is as if no other city with a professional sports team in this country had fans that can be viewed with the same amount of disdain as Philly fans. So last night when Bohm came up in the bottom of the 8th to pinch-hit, the fans gave him a standing ovation. And it was a sincere standing ovation.

Bohm's coming out after the game in which he said what he said, stated he made the comment. He owned it and Philly fans appreciate that. In fact it probably brought more respect from the fans then if he tried to weasel his way out of it. So it will be interesting if any national commentators will mention the standing ovation in their sports reports. I'd be shocked if they did.
